Mark is a Senior Associate in Dottir’s Corporate and M&A practice. He specialises in transactional and corporate law, with a focus on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity and venture capital transactions, and other financing rounds of private companies. Mark regularly advises clients on structuring transactions, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, overseeing due diligence processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing corporate governance matters.​

In addition to his transactional work, Mark provides ongoing corporate law support to growth companies and other private companies, addressing their evolving legal and corporate needs in a practical, business-minded manner.​

Playtika

Dottir Attorneys advised Playtika Holding Corp. on their acquisition of Reworks Oy, a Helsinki based game studio. The deal value is USD 600 million.

Playtika is a Nasdaq listed mobile games company with over 34 million monthly active users playing its titles.

Reworks is a fast-growing game studio in a lifestyle content market, best known for the home design application “Redecor”.

Inderes

Dottir advised Inderes in their initial public offering on First North marketplace. Inderes, which is a Nordic investor hub providing analysis services, is a very prominent company in the Finnish investor and listed company scene. For this reason the IPO was important and gained a lot of public attention. The IPO led to Inderes gaining 10,000 new shareholders.

NordicNinja

Dottir advised the lead investor NordicNinja VC in the EUR 36.5 million Series A funding round of Onego Bio. The round was participated by Tesi, EIT Food as well as previous investors Agronomics, Maki.vc, Holdix, and Turret. This is one of the largest early-stage startup funding rounds in the Nordics.

Onego Bio, founded in 2022, commercializes a method developed at VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland), where the main protein of egg white, ovalbumin, is produced without production animals - in other words, egg white without chickens. With the new funding, Onego intends to focus on scaling its operations and entering the market with contract manufacturers.

NordicNinja is the largest Japanese VC in Europe, backing companies tackling the world’s carbon footprint with a focus on climate tech, deeptech, and digital society.

Timma

Dottir advised Timma on their acquisition of Danish Melumi.

Founded in 2014, Timma is a technology company that facilitates online booking and business processes for beauty and wellness companies. Melumi is Denmark's leading online booking platform for similar services.

Firecon Group Oy

Dottir advised the sellers, represented by Evolver Investment Group Ab, in the sale of Firecon Group Oy to Writech Group, a portfolio company of Waterland Private Equity. Firecon Group is a market-leading Finnish full-service provider of automated fire extinguishing systems and HVAC solutions and services with sales of some EUR 13 million in 2022.
