Katja is a counsel in our Corporate and M&A practice. Katja is a versatile M&A professional with several years of experience in advising on various international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other corporate law matters with a focus on cross boarder M&A.

Katja is a certified board member (HHJ) and acts regularly as the secretary of Boards of Directors and advises public and private companies on corporate governance. She also advices on venture capital investments and capital markets transactions.

Katja is ranked as a Rising Star in IFLR1000 EMEA (M&A). She is a trusted advisor to growth companies in executing complex international transactions with her extensive project management skills and business-oriented collaborative approach.

Documill Oy

Dottir advised the shareholders of Documill Oy on the sale of the company to UK-based Ascendx Cloud Ltd.

“We were very pleased with the diligent yet efficient way Dottir’s team guided us through this rather complex cross-border M&A project,” said Mika Könnölä, CEO of Documill and one of the sellers.

Documill helps Salesforce-powered enterprises to digitalize their core document processes. It does so through company-specific workflows, collaborative document creation, the inclusion of process-related tasks such as approvals and e-signing, and highly flexible document automation capabilities.

Beijer Alma AB (publ)

Dottir advised the international industrial group Beijer Alma AB in its acquisition of AVS Power Oy, a leading Finnish technical wholesaler and manufacturer of pneumatics, industrial valves and compressors.

In the transaction, Beijer Alma’s subsidiary Beijer Tech acquired 100 percent of the shares in AVS Power Oy. As a part of the transaction, operational assets transferred to AVS Power Oy from the previous parent company AVS-Yhtiöt Oy. Through the acquisition, Beijer Tech strengthens its position in the Finnish market.

Beijer Alma AB is an international industrial group focused on component manufacturing and industrial trading. The Group includes; Lesjöfors, one of Europe’s largest spring manufacturer and Beijer Tech, which holds strong positions in the Nordic industrial trading- and manufacturing markets. Beijer Alma is listed on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm Mid Cap list.

Dottir acted as counsel for Lumoa (Lumoame Oy) in their acquisition by Netigate.

Dottir advised sole shareholder of e-ville.com in the acquisition of the company by Verkkokauppa.com Oyj. E-ville is an online store headquartered in Finland with operations in China. The acquisition is the first in the history of Verkkokauppa.com. The acquisition supports Verkkokauppa.com's strategy to strengthen and expand its assortment in own brands. With the acquisition, Verkkokauppa.com will get e-ville’s experienced sourcing organization operating in Shenzhen, China and Hong Kong.

CapMan Growth

Nordic growth investor CapMan Growth invests in and becomes minority owner of Cloud2, the leading multi-cloud house in Finland. Helsinki-based Cloud2 is focused on developing and managing cloud environments. They hold broad expertise and challenge the markets with a bold straightforward approach.

Warner Music Finland

Dottir advised Warner Music Finland in its acquisition of the record label business of The Fried Music, the iconic Finnish label founded by Jukka Immonen. Following the acquisition, The Fried Music's artists will join Warner Music's roster and Jukka Immonen will be appointed as Warner's new Head of A&R, effective January 1, 2024.

Warner Music Finland is the largest music entertainment company in Finland and operates across recorded music, music publishing, and artist services.

Ruokaboksi Oy

Dottir advised Ruokaboksi Oy in their EUR 3.5 million funding round. The round was led by Nordic Foodtech VC and participated by Suomen Teollisuussijoitus Oy as well as certain existing shareholders.

Ruokaboksi offers recipes along with fresh ingredients for several meals delivered to your door. Their goal is to make everyday cooking easy and effortless while reducing food waste and supporting domestic food production.

Ruokaboksi will use the funding to develop the content and selection of its products and also to expand its operations to international market.
